Plans of God that Glorified Himself

plans god glorified himself

A particular man made real plans for his growing firm. One day a fire broke out, and his business vanished into smoke. Unlike God’s plans, his wasn’t free from calamity!

"For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Jer. 29:11

Plans of God for His Own Glory

Here is one example of God's plan that knows no sinking ship. Jesus Christ heard that Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary, was sick. Then He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.”

Then, Lazarus died, but Christ resurrected him. Christ's miracle glorified our Father God in heaven. Hence, when God makes good plans for you, they are all tied up to His glory. "I am the LORD, that is My name;" He took a stand, "I will not give My glory to another, Nor My praise to graven images." (Is. 42:8)

Lazarus came to life again after four days in the grave because of Jesus Christ, God the Son. The plan of God for you and me knows no flaw.

Plans of God for Our Good Future

Let’s carve out our future in a way that gives Him glory, honor, and praise. “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." (1 Cor. 10:31)

Maybe God wants you to be so rich like Job whose faith became the object of curiosity—and sometimes of ridicule—to his friends. Or maybe you’re like Lazarus (in Christ’s parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus) of whose poverty was so touching that even the dogs volunteered to lick his burning sores clean. God had made real plans for Lazarus, of whose name may also mean the helpless.

Upon his death, Lazarus (according to Christ’s story) was especially carried off by God’s angels to Abraham’s bosom; whereas the rich man, from whose crumbs Lazarus survived on, went straight to Hades. While the rich man depended on his riches for everything, Lazarus, on the other hand, depended on nothing but God—and thus glorified the Lord!

Plans of God are Connected to His Unfailing Promises

Our Lord has good plans for you and me. Jesus said, “I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

What a promise from God’s Son!

My future is as noonday,
So bright in His hands.
In His grace, there’s plenty;
In His love, He grants.
